Hi ya'll! First of all, thanks for reading about me! That's pretty flattering and I'll just get right into it.

I started taking photos as a teenager and it was instantly a type of therapy for me. It's always been when I'm at my best. My favorite part is that there will always be an element of surprise that comes with each image. No matter how well you know the settings on your camera, you never can picture exactly how it will look until you actually see it. That part really makes it interesting every single time you hit the shutter button.
Even though outdoor photography and all other types of art were a big part of my life for MOST of my life, for a long time, I didn't have much interest in photographing people. That part took time. Fast forward fourteen years from when I got my first camera and a whole other layer has been added to this passion. I moved out of the beautiful, but very small town I grew up in, Payson, Arizona and eventually met my husband. We now have a beautiful daughter named Madeline. This is what made me realize how important photography really is. The two of them gave my life true purpose when I didn't know where I was going or WHAT I was doing. I learned to appreciate others in a way I never had before. I notice now when parents hug their child or when two friends smile at each other as they're walking. To me, this stuff is all that matters at the end of the day. Being able to look at those moments that happen once and only once in a photograph is pretty amazing.
Combining my love for the artistic part of photography with the preservation of memories makes so much sense for me. I feel lucky knowing I've found the best job on the planet and can never look back.
 

Now that I'm done with all the sap though, a few other things I love are painting, paddle boarding, camping, the outdoors in general, music and breakfast!
